Our warehouse barrier product range is specifically designed to address the hazards associated with moving vehicles inside a warehouse or factory. The risks posed by heavy machinery to pedestrians and vulnerable structures in the warehouse/factory environment are well known and this system can be used to both demark and protect an access route, keeping vulnerable structures and people safe. Alvin Warehouse Barrier rails and posts come as standard powder coated in Traffic Safety Yellow to further improve visibility and demarcation. Alvin Warehouse Barrier
Alvin Barrier Guardrails are designed for use around indoor traffic areas such as fork-lift routes. The high-strength rail features a double-rib design formed from hot rolled, cold formed 11 gauge steel. These rails are designed to absorb impacts from warehouse plant such as fork-lifts. The barrier itself comes in 1m and 3m lengths and a range of supporting posts and accessories allow for 45º and 90º corners. The posts, barriers and accessories come as standard powder coated in Traffic SafetyYellow. The simple component system means replacing sections is easy if required
Alvin Warehouse Shields
Shields are preformed components designed to protect specific at risk items around the typical warehouse or factory, including pallet racking or sectional door rails. They are categorised as:
Alvin Rack Shield –Specifically designed to protect racking legs from impact by moving machinery. Collapsing pallet shelving or racking could cause a multiple-fatality incident which means it is imperative the risk of collisions with the structure is reduced to as near zero as possible. Rack shield forms a sacrificial protective barrier around the legs of the racking, meaning you must destroy the Rack Shield before you can even get close to the rack leg itself. The key advantage of this product is that it is independently secured to the floor, meaning shock loads are not transferred to the racking frame itself. Rack Shield components are intended to be easy to replace if a serious collision occurs, and we keep a large amount of stock of them ready for immediate dispatch.
The End Guard is available as a kit of a Left and Right-handed model and provides a protective cap to surround both legs at the end of a run of racking, an attached 660mm metal flange on each unit points along the racking edge at floor level, this prevents rolling objects or vehicles from hitting the protected leg from any external angle while also protecting lateral bracing at floor level.
Alvin Track Shield – Specifically designed to help keep your warehouse doors operational. Anyone who has ever managed or operated a warehouse will tell you that the doors are a vital and often neglected part of the building infrastructure. Crashing into the door track,a roller shutter or other sectional overhead door will always tend to happen at the worst possible moment, either right at the end of the day, or with goods/vehicles stuck on the wrong side of the door. Worse still there is the chance that the door may get stuck open, meaning you need to staff your building all night until the door repair company arrives. At worst, damaged track can stop the emergency brakes on the door from operating, presenting a very real risk to life scenario.
A significant number of these incidents are caused by a vehicle striking the side rails that guide the door sections up and down, and the Alvin Track Shield uprights effectively prevent this with a 1.22m high two-sided shield. Available in left-hand and right-handed models and costing less than one emergency door-repair callout each, fitting these units to your doors really will save you money.
Alvin Track Shield is available as a kit of both left handed and right handed sections at 1200mm high.
