Ensuring your guardrail cannot be climbed over is important for a number of reasons, and Alvin Pedestrian Guardrail is one of the cheapest and easiest ways of complying with BS 6180 by passing the “100mm sphere test”. The vertical infill panels both prevent children from getting their heads stuck between the bars and deter them from climbing on the handrail. This makes them a particularly useful addition in areas with a higher proportion of children around such as schools and play areas.
The system comes in kit form for simple assembly with an impact driver. The range consists of pre fabricated infill panels at 1000mm and 1500mm wide plus a number of different pre-assembled uprights. All components come hot-dip galvanised as standard and can optionally be powder coated to a RAL colour of your choice. The top and bottom rail of the infills is the same 48.3mm diameter as our size 8 tube, so these infills can easily be integrated with other Alvin Key Clamp products.
