Alvin Key Clamps & Tubes For Surf Rack
Our robust and easy to assemble key clamps and tube means you can make any bespoke structure you desire. Take Harry Singer for example who has constructed the most creative of designs in a surf rack. Here, we will show you how this has been made and if you fancy purchasing one yourself, you’ll be able to find the kits also on this page. (Pipe Insulation not sold here).
The dseign is in our Size 5 range (26.9mm outer diameter). Other sizes can be found on our website. Please note although our products are strong, sturdy materials, we cannot guarantee the strength or performance with bespoke items. You can get very creative when it comes to designing any structure with our Key Clamps & Tubes, and you do not necessarily have to stick with Harry Singer's superb design. If you want to follow in his footsteps though, we provide quick and easy kits to ensure you match the surf rack Harry has created.
Use our A12 Baseplates to secure to the floor and A10 Wall Termination Clamps to secure the frame in place. The A06 90 Degree Elbow will be to attach the upright posts at the top of the rack.
Depending on what you will be using the rack for, you may need a different angled clamp. Harry has opted for the C07-5 45 Degree Tee so the surfboards slide down onto the arms nicely. All the clamps can be tightened with an Allen Key.
To tidy everything up, use our A68 Plastic End Caps for the exposed tube at the ends of the arms.

Tubes can be cut to any size you wish with our free tube cutting service. If you are unsure which lengths to go for at the time of purchasing, you can cut the tubes down on site with a hacksaw. For Harry's rack, the uprights were cut to 2000mm. The arms were trimmed down to 500mm. The spacer tubes which would fit inside the A10 & A06 are 60mm in length.
